CRISIS ASSISTANCE

Lacking resources for a new pilot program in 2013, Crisis Assistance Ministry reached out to the community for help and Global Freedom Foundation was one of the first groups to respond. GFF organized a group of volunteers and became a charter member of our pilot program now known as Relocation Assistance. But the commitment didn’t end there. Once the program became fully operational Global Freedom Foundation agreed to serve our community on a monthly basis, and has been doing so for more than 2 years. It’s amazing what type of impact a group of dedicated volunteers, a moving truck and strong hearts can have on those in our community who are mired in poverty, and GFF through their spirit of service has embodied that commitment to make a difference in the lives of those who need it the most.

SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK

Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina's mission is to end hunger and we do this by supplying food and support throughout 14 counties in North Carolina and 5 counties in South Carolina.  This year we broke a record with a total of 50 million pounds of food distributed, 152,000 backpacks full of food, as well as 12,000 senior boxes distributed. We could never do any of this and our other programs, without our amazing volunteers and the support of the community like that from Global Freedom Foundation.  Their support is invaluable, both from an financial and manpower perspective!
